Happy Birthday to Me!!!

What a blissful birthday...it's my birthday...YEAH!!!

I have been blessed with another blissful year of seeing my children blossom, my family and friends grow and my business flourish .  I am so excited today and everyday that I am here to experience that.

My job is taking me out to lunch ,WHOO..HOOO...and not sure what the rest of the day will bring, but I am sure it will be spectacular. I am not getting older, just more blissful by the day.

Thanks to all my facebook family and friends for wishing me a happy birthday.

3 things you cannot get back

There is always a sign at the front door when I come to work in the morning that has inspirational quotes, which I think is great, because let's face it most of the people who walk into the building in the morning, 85% of them are not happy to be there, so I think this is a great way to interject a little joy into your day.   Yesterday the quote was awesome, and something that my business partner and I were just talking about,
coincidence, I say not...the quote was "The 3 things that once are gone, you can never get back, time, words and opportunity"  Makes you think doesn't it.

So remember the time you have in front of you and put it to good use, remember the words you speak, may they always be positive and uplifting and remember the new opportunities that are placed in your way.

Having a company that helps others to create a more blissful life is easy if that is what you choose to do. We make it hard, when we allow outside things to change our focus, or beliefs and our desires.  It is always up to choices.  I love the choices I am making and am very excited to share them with all of you, with the hope that I can inspire one person to make a choice that will change their life for the good.

Please comment on how one choice you made, changed your life for the better. We would love to hear from you.

Blissful Lifestyle, blissful travels, blissful life.

Happy New Year! to a New Life Purpose and a free dinner for 2

Well Happy New Year to everyone.  It's a New Year, A New Day, A New Life and A New You...so what are you going to do with it?

How are you going to make this New Year a better year, a bigger year.  Well you know I started out this New Year by sitting down and writing down how I am going to create a new, better and bigger year. And the first thing I did was create a new life purpose. My sister in law has me re-reading, The Success Principles by Jack Canfield and in it, on page 23, there is an exercise that helps you to come up with your life's purpose. So instead of me sharing a resolution with you, which we know most people give up within 2-4 weeks after making one, I will share with you my new Life's purpose, not just for the New Year but for all the years that I will blessed to wake up and greet another day. So here it goes:

Georgette's Life Purpose:

"My purpose is to use my passion for life and creativity to enourage and inspire others to live, love, laugh and embrace a happier, bigger and more blissful life".

So what is yours? I would love to hear from you about what your life's purpose is for moving forward in the next year and many years to come? and to add to your New Life's purpose, if you post in on this blog, I will enter you into a drawing to win a free dinner for 2.

A great way to start you and a friend, significant other or just yourself on the way to a more freeing and liberating blissful life.

Tis the day before Christmas and.....

Tis the day before Christmas..and what a beautiful day to blog. It's nice and quiet in my house, the smell of the Christmas tree fills the air, I guess it was great to get a real tree again (I was the one opting for a fake one, but the rest of the family won that one),  the blinking of the Christmas tree lights gives off an great alive feeling and the table is filled with wrapping paper and tape ready for me to wrap the last gifts, yeah I am a procrastisanta..ha..ha..

I don't know, but for me this the best part.  I love wrapping the presents and getting them under the tree the night before, it actually relaxes me, go figure, I know for some it may stress them out.

I mean most of my friends in Texas have had their tree up 4 weeks ago and I always joke with them that as soon as the Turkey is out of the oven, the Christmas tree is up. I just have not been able to do that even though I guess it would help, because it takes me longer to get into the Christmas spirit.  I mean really, who can do that when it's 70 degrees outside. This New Yorker is still not used to that, it just doesn't feel like Christmas to me unless it's at least 30 or 40, windy and chilly, you know the bundling up kind of weather.

But hey we all celebrate differently and that's what it's all about. Accepting everyone's cultures and being happy in the moment of life so that we can share love and laughter with the people we love the most whether it's 30 degrees or 70.

So with that said, I wish all of my family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe holiday season.  Now back to my wrapping. Enjoy!

Until next time

Burlesque

I decided yesterday to just take the time to go to the movies by myself, it's one of my blissful things to do.  When I go by myself I get to see movies that my hubby may not be too excited to see and of them are musicals..yeah musicals, you can blame my mom for that..ha..ha.

It goes way back to my favorite musical, "Gypsy" with Natalie Wood to  "Oklahoma" to "7 Brides for 7 Brothers" to "The Unsinkable Molly Brown", to more current ones, like "Chicago" and yesterday "Burlesque".

I also love Christina Agulera, who has an awesome voice, Brittney..who..okay sorry about that..but Christina can really sing.

I felt so good after I left the theatre, inspired to make sure that I am always able to do the things that make me feel good, even something as simple as enjoying a movie by myself.

What do you love to do that brings you bliss? Please share, would love to hear from you.  You see it can be as corny as a good musical.

A New Job

Wow I can't beleive that it's been almost 3 weeks since my last post, how time flies.  I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had an awesome one, spending time in NY with my family, but was happy to come back to my now home in Texas.  I also had a surprise when I got back, a job came through for me as soon as I came home and now I have new job which I started on Monday.  I am still working my  travel and romance business, but at times you have to do what you have to do. The finances will certainly help me to move my business to another level and create a financial cushion while I am doing that.   Now don't get me wrong, I know without a doubt that after April, which is when the job will end, I will be running my travel business http://www.blissfultravels.biz/, full time and building a team of leaders.

I am very grateful and humble for getting the job and appreciate my friend for looking out for me, but looking at the cubicles, I have to say really put a knot in my stomach.  Not a very blissful space, but I will create one because, it is what I love to do and I also think you have to always look at the bigger and brighter side of the picture.  I have an awesome opportunity to meet other people, learn about their dreams and desires and create new relationships.  How awesome is that?

Until next time

"While I'm Living" list

I had a great day yesterday hanging out with my mom and spending time with her.  We did some shopping, had lunch and just chilled.  We also watched the movie "The Bucket List" have you ever seen it? It is with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.  It maybe hard for some to watch as it deals with cancer, but I think it is a movie worth watching.  It also deals with the central theme of how they become friends, create a bond and accomplish many things on a bucket list the create before they are gone.

You know as I was watching it, I looked over at my mom and thought about all the things she may have wanted to do in her life and have not done.  I remember when I took her to Jamaica for the first time, it was the first time she had been on a plane, and she was in her middle 40's then. How many other things had she never done and for some reason may still feel she still can't do. What would be on her bucket list? I thought.  I did not ask, but I will today.

It was also a question I had to ask myself, although I changed it to my "While I'm  Living List".  What is it that I want to do to create a more blissful, fabulous and fullfilled life while I'm still living? not just for me, but for others as well.   What about you, what do you want put on your "While I'm Living List?  Who do you want to take with you, while they are still living?  Share with us in our comment section. I would love to see them.

Here is a smalle sample of mine:
1) Take 3 DreamTrips to Hawaii (one with my hubby..you know a little tropical paradise alone time, one with my sister-in-law, one with my closets girlfriends (you know who you are)
2) Take a Dream Trip to Egypt with my Mom
3)  Take a DreamTrip to Alaska with my hubby
4) Visit the Grand Canyon with my family
5)  Go to Japan with Cory
 6) Help fund and built a a new green affordable residential coop building in the South Bronx, like the one that was just completed as the Colin Powell Green Home NY City (it's where I grew up)

Okay that is just a sample and not necessarily in order, but you get the idea.

So that was my day, a little introspective, a lot of happy and whole lot of just enjoying my mom's company.

Until next time,

Live in Bliss!
